Hot Detoxing Spiced Almond Milk

There is nothing like ending the day with a warm, soothing beverage and this is one of my absolute favorites. Not only does it taste delicious, but its so packed full of some powerful ingredients that do great things for your health. No matter how clean (or not) we keep our diets, we are constantly coming into contact with free radicals that contribute to the decline of our well-being. This is a great drink to help combat and detox those toxins out of the body, and leave us feeling warm and fuzzy inside.


I feel like I’m giving my body a huge “thank you” when I nourish it with this heavenly cup of goodness. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the “why?” I spend hours researching the health benefits of different foods and spices and I love to know that what I’m putting into my body is doing great and powerful things. I’d like to share with you this impressive list of ingredients and the incredible ways they give back to our bodies!



Get to Know Your Ingredients:


Cardamom

-antioxidants

Hot Detoxing Spiced Almond Milk



Ingredients:


2 tbsp cashews (or nut of choice)

2 cups almond milk

1/4 tsp cardamom

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp raw honey (or other natural sweetener)


Directions:


1. Soak nuts in a cup of boiling water for 20 mins.

2. Drain and rinse nuts

3. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

4. Pour contents into a saucepan and heat to desired temp (below boiling)

5. Pour into two mugs and enjoy!
