Abundance Is Coming!

Hello My Fellow Seekers of Abundance! First of all, I would like to say thank you for checking out my Health and Wellness blog! I’m so beyond delighted to finally take everything I have learned about food and drop here for you in this neat little package! I would like to use this platform to share ways I keep my mind, body, and soul happy and healthy! Those who know me, know that food is a passion of mine. I grew up with a half-Italian, chef mother, who loves to show her affection via composing the most delicious kitchen masterpieces for her friends and loved ones, that will feed your soul in a way you didn’t even know it needed to be fed. As a result, food has become a lifestyle for me. It brings some of the most joy to each of my days. The smells, the colors, the tastes…I do a happy dance just thinking of them (yes, I’m the girl who dances when her food comes out at a restaurant). I love the sensation that envelopes me as I take that first bite out of a culinary master work. As much as I wish I could devour buttery, cheesy pasta dishes everyday— I can’t. There are a number of reasons (that I will dive into deeper in a minute), but one of the obvious ones is that those dishes alone, simply don’t provide the nutrients my body needs to thrive and feel good! So here I am, ready to build a community where I can regularly share recipes with you. Not only do I find them delicious, but they’re all health conscious! My main focus here, will be to showcase a variety of different healthy foods, for all types of different eaters! My page will feature anti-inflammatory diet recipes, fertility diet recipes, whole 30 recipes, paleo recipes, vegan recipes, and general meal prep recipes! Not each recipe will cater to all of those diets, but I will be specifying which ones include which types of diets! Additionally, I will be sharing health tips about some of my favorite foods and why I like to nourish my body with them. I will share with you easy healthy swaps I like to switch out to make my diet more clean, and share more about my story and my health goals along the way. Let me give you a quick briefing of why I’m so motivated and passionate about trying to eat clean. I struggle with an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation throughout my body, creating symptoms I’m sure many of you can relate to! Common symptoms some of you may resonate with include fatigue, brain fog, joint and muscle pain, bloating, frequent headaches, and skin problems. All of these symptoms indicate a level of inflammation in the body (which I will be talking about more extensively later in this blog!). It may not mean you have an autoimmune disorder as myself, but many of us suffer from some level of inflammation somewhere in our bodies. I have struggled to find help in the Western medicine world, but where I began to find a community of support and people who were experiencing the same road blocks on their path to healing as myself, was through Eastern medicine and homeopathic healing. I think it's important to note, that I'm not anti-western-medicine, however, there are different levels of expertise in both Western and Eastern medicines that work best for each person and each senario. So what does eastern medicine rely heavily on to heal? Food! You are what you eat. When I eat good, I feel good! When I eat bad…you know the rest. So that is the Cliff Notes as to what piqued my interest in learning to heal my body with food, but there are so many benefits to cleaning up our diets, even just a little bit. My mantra: everything in moderation. When it comes to diet and nutrition, I believe: just do your best! “Best” is different for everyone. I think baby steps are a perfectly acceptable and very effective way to accomplish dietary improvement! You learn a little, apply a little, and slowly you will understand and feel the difference and become more inspired to try new things. Nothing is more motivating than seeing and feeling results first hand. I’m excited to expand your tool box and provide you with the know-how I’ve discovered throughout my life to help you become a healthier, happier you in a body that feels abundantly good and does what its meant to do!
